If the remote workplace is the way of the future, how will your company adapt?

What a wild ride it has been lately.  With society facing great uncertainty due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, we all want to do our part to help alleviate and ultimately eliminate the threat of the COVID-19 virus for our families and friends. In light of the “stay at home” order, not only has homelife changed dramatically, but workplace life has been forced to change as well. Due to the need to protect workers, customers, and slow the virus outbreak, many workplaces have transitioned to remote work models to allow life to go on with some sense of normalcy. With that said, there are some tangible benefits of a remote workplace beyond just protecting the spread of COVID-19, which include:

  • More autonomous and happier employees
  • Higher employee retention rate
  • Increased worker efficiency and higher levels of productivity
  • Access to a wider pool of global resources
  • Positive environmental impact and low-to-no operational costs

Although there is no reason to celebrate a global pandemic, there may also be a silver lining in the way it affects American life once we’ve succeeded in eliminating this disease.  For years, Americans have been conditioned to spend most of their day driving to work, working, driving home from work, and then perhaps seeing their family for a few fleeting hours at the end of each day.  With this global reset taking place, Americans are being forced to step back from their breakneck pace of life and look at how to build in more personal care and flexibility. Remote workplaces might be just what the world needs to maintain our regular work pace while allowing us to stay safe and care for ourselves and our families.

Despite Creative Blue operating in a mostly remote workplace model, like other companies, we have also had to make our own adjustments to cope with the COVID-19 lockdown. Thankfully, access to advanced digital communication platforms allows us to proceed with projects and coordinate our teams from the safety of our homes. While we will still maintain our corporate offices in San Jose for onsite meetings once it is safe to resume, Creative Blue will continue to remotely collaborate on projects around the clock via online meetings, sharing work-in-progress files, and keeping all lines of communication wide open.

While companies like ours can be successful operating remotely, we understand that it isn’t always an easy system to adapt to.  Thanks to Creative Blue’s experience running our own remote workplace, we can assist our clients in making a smooth transition. Whether you need to communicate with your team to align on next steps or you need to communicate your current status of operation with your clients, Creative Blue can offer support and provide recommendations, services, and best practices.  In addition to our services related to STRATEGIC STORYTELLING, such as presentations, websites, branding, and other core deliverables, Creative Blue can also assist with:

  • Outbound Messaging Strategy: Websites, Newsletters, Social Media & Public Relations
  • Internal Messaging Strategy: Narrative & Presentations, Video & Remote Meetings
